Spark ignited gas engine drives a three phase alternator which generates electrical energy. The heat recovery system generates thermal energy from the engine cooling and flue gas systems. This type of combined electrical and thermal energy is one of the most efficient ways of using fossil or renewable fuels. Increasing demands for CHPs efficiency, minimum system downtime period and short time to market together with demanding grid codes requirements put a high pressure the control system.

ComAp Solution

ComAp's InteliSys Gas controller is designed for control of gas gen-sets and is a perfect solution for CHP control. InteliSys Gas integrates all essential controls of the gas engine into one place which significantly improves fault finding and troubleshooting, and minimises any engine downtime. Pre-programmed functions and a large inbuilt PLC interpreter gives users the freedom to design their own logic, create a unique solution for the market, and bring the solution to their customers as fast as possible. Local and remote monitoring of the whole process is also available.

InteliSys Gas represents the heart of the control system, integrating control functions of engine, alternator and CHP.
Inteli AIN8, Inteli AIN8TC, Inteli IO8/8 are peripheral I/O modules which measure signals from the engine like cylinder temperatures, oil pressure, water temperatures and communicate the values to the InteliSys Gas over communication line. Distributed control system allows local placement of the I/O modules hence easier wiring and shorter commissioning time.

InteliVision 12Touch is 12-inch touch panel dedicated for easy overview of the whole system and its control by an operator. InteliVision 12Touch brings the latest features from consumers market into industrial area.
InteliVision 17Touch is optional 17-inch touch panel which can be used for complete site monitoring from one place.
Remote monitoring of the whole CHP plant is possible over WebSupervisor tool or InteliMonitor PC tool when a detail monitoring is needed. Websupersvisor is also available through Android and iOS apps.
